Kazakhstan life: Tour 5

Day 1: Almaty - Issyk Lake - Almaty  
Upon arrival to the airport you will be met and transferred to Issyk gorge. To see his breathtaking sight you will drive along the Kuldja tract, where hundreds of years ago the trade caravans travelled. During the Kazakhstan life: Tour 5 you will have a stop at the State Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve "ISSYK". Here you will see the items that belong or related to the history and culture of the Saka period, including a copy of Golden Man and golden items, ancient ceramics, weapon, elements of horse equipment, as well as the model of Saka burial mound. Later on you will be transferred to the altitude of 1756 meters above sea level where the breathtaking Issyk lake is located. This wonderful lake was formed due to the huge landslide that happened about 10,000 years ago. Moreover due this landslide resulted in formation of the natural dam of 300 meters in height. Here you will be able to enjoy the impressive beauty of its water surface and the Issyk Gorge. While relaxing on here you will listen the details of the natural disaster of 1963. Transfer to the hotel for overnight.

Day 2: Almaty - Altyn Emel
Today you will have a morning drive to the next destination of the Kazakhstan life: Tour 5. In course of the tour you will head on to the famous Altyn Emel National Park. Tours to this park are popular due to the Singing Dune. The height of this dune reaches 120 meters and a length of about 3 km. You will be bale to see this incredible place in one of the corners of the Altyn-Emel National Park. Here you will be able to enjoy the song that the pure sand creates. At windy weather you will be able to enjoy the sound that reminds the organ music. But before the sandy storm you will be bale to listen the drum sounds. The top of this sight you show you the great panorama view the surroundings. In the south you wills see Ili River and the purple mountains of Sogety and Boguty, behind of Ketmen ridge. On the west is the Big Kalkan and the Small Kalkan on the east. In the north are Jungar Alatau mountains, Chulak mountain, Matai and Altyn-Emel are visible. You will hear the song of the dunes for few kilometers on dry and windy weather. Overnight is in a hotel.

Day 3: Altyn Emel
Today we will have a sightseeing tour to Katutau and Aktau mountains. Picnic at nature. Katutau Mountains (Harsh Mountains) are very ancient ruined mountains with preserved volcanic outputs. The breed is very fragile and breaks down under the physical impact. Water, time and wind carved intricate shapes in the rock. Sedimentary rock of the bottom of the ancient Tethys Ocean is preserved there. From the effects of environmental factors it took the form of intricate figures and landscapes. Aktau Mountains (White Mountains) are world-renowned paleontological field. In the layers of Paleogene lacustrine deposits well-preserved remains of ancient animals whose age is estimated at 25-30 million years have been found. Among the finds there are the remains the giant rhinos, crocodiles, turtles. Huge conical mountains remind the Egyptian pyramids and are a magical scene of the variety of shapes and colors. Return to Altyn Emel hotel. Dinner and overnight is in the hotel.

Day 4: Altyn Emel - Charyn Canyon - Kolsai Lakes
In course of the travel you will be transferred to Ash-tree Grove on the Temerlik River. You will see this unique place where the Sogdian Ash-tree are growing. Moreover you will learn that botanists are claim that the age of these trees are over a thousand years old. After it you will be transferred to Charyn Canyon. This incredible Charyn Canyon is a natural complex. It is known to be exceptional not only to in Kazakhstan but also worldwide that was formed during Paleogene. Moreover you will be amazed to see the Charyn Canyon that resembles Grand Canyon of Colorado River in North America, but the size of this sight smaller. The "Valley of Castles" was forms due to the wind and water. You will be among the fancy towers composed of sedimentary rocks. Moreover you will be impressed to the strange towers and columns. Later on you will be transferred to Saty village to the guest house for overnight.  

Day 5: Kolsai - Kaindy Lake - Almaty
In the morning you will drive to Kaindy lake. Tours to Kaindy Lake or Birch lake are very popular. The sight is situated in the center of the pine forest at an elevation of 2000 meters above sea level. During the travel you will be interested to know the origin of the lake that was formed in 1911 due to the powerful earthquake that resulted the flooded the valley. This lake will impress you by its cold water to see where the needles of the flooded trees are well preserved and clearly visible through the water. These trees are looked as the masts of the submarine squadron. You need to travel here to witness this mysterious view of the lake with own eyes.  After walking around the lake you will return to Almaty. Night is in a hotel.

Day 6: Flight
In the morning is transfer to the airport.
