During the trip you will find out about Kyrgyz traditions, customs and culture, because the Kyrgyz being nomads for thousand years managed to keep all their amazing traditions and customs till now days. You will have a trekking tour to enjoy untouched nature of mountainous Kyrgyzstan and to visit numerous lakes of pure sparkling water.

 

Day 1: Bishkek - Chon Kemin valley (170 km - 4 h)
You will be met by your guide and accompanied you to Bishkek City from the Airport of Manas. 30 min. drive. In case you arrive too early we can offer you a nice room with comfortable beds and you will be able to take a shower.  You will start the day with a breakfast in Dungan - Chinese guesthouse. The day is dedicated to a guided Bishkek City Tour, including lunch. Visit the central Ala-Too Square, Duboviy Park (Oak Park), Pobeda Square (Victory Square), National philharmonic,  Art Gallery, Oriental Osh Bazaar and many others places of interest. After transfer to Chon Kemin valley. This day will comprise one more memorable excursion to the Burana Tower Museum, a site of a medieval city, the capital of the Karahanid Kaganate - Balasagun.  Dinner and overnight is in Ashuu guesthouse.

Day 2: Chon Kemin valley - Tamga (150 km - 4 h)
After breakfast you will have time for a photo session to capture all the beauty of Chon Kemin Valley, large alpine valley. Here you have a wonderful opportunity to see real Kyrgyz nomads who still live in their collapsible dwellings - yurts, like it was in very olden times in the Tien- Shan Mountains surrounded by fast-flowing rivers, fir trees. Before our departure to Tamga village, we will stop not far from Chon-Kemin in order to walk 2 hours in Konorchek labyrinths, where at the end of the gorge you will see a magic view of red mountains. Then picnic is organized here. Afterwards we will go on with our trip to Tamga village. There is a sanatorium in Tamga where soviet astronauts used to rehabilitate and train their skills, as the altitude and climate created just perfect conditions to do that.  The southern shore of Issik Kul lake (the second largest mountain lake in the world and the biggest lake in Kyrgyzstan) is particularly rewarding in the terms of its striking beauty. On the way to Tamga we will visit our famous Talgat - a hunter with golden eagles. He will tell us about his birds. After it we can do some photos of the eagles. After arrival in Tamga village you will have sometime to swim in the lake and relax on its sandy beach. Accommodation is in Tamara and Askar guesthouse (1600m).

Day 3: Tamga - Barskoon gorge - Dunguromo Pass (3570 m) - Dugurotmo gorge (5 hours)
After breakfast we will drive to Barskoon village. Then we continue our way to Barskoon gorge, one of the most picturesque places in the mountainous Terskey Ala Too. You will see one of the highest waterfalls in Kyrgyzstan (alt. 2500 m) that is 60 meters high, as well as the monument in honor of the outstanding Urii Gagarin, who was the fifst man in the space. There we will visit the family who are occupied with manufacturing of yurts. This will be an incredible opportunity for you to reveal the secret of producing those amazing nomadic dwellings.  From this place we start our trekking. We will have an ascent to  Dunguromo pass (3100 m) passing through which we find ourselves in a wonderful valley Dunguromo. After a few kilometers down from the pass, we stop for the camping. Night is in tents at the altitude of 2850 m. Dinner will give us an opportunity to share with impressions of the first day.

Day 4: Dungurotmo gorge - Zauka Pass (3750 m) - Chokolu Lake (7 hours)
Wake up early around 7 o'clock in the morning. Today we have a « straight up » climb to the Chokolu Lake over Zauka Pass, which is considered to be a historical pass, the part of the great Silk Road. Famous travelers such as Ella Mayart 1932, P. P. Semenov Tien - Shansky 1856, who passed this place in the ancient time as well as the Chinese Muslims who fled from persecution in China 200 years ago and settled in Kyrgyzstan and some other Central Asian countries.  The landscape is relatively flat, from vegetation prevails fine grass and moss, the climate is close to the tundra climate. Near the lake we will set up our camp for the night. Night is in tents at the altitude of 3800 m.

Day 5: Chokolu Lake - Zauka Pass (3750 m) - Dzukuu gorge - Ashu Kashka Suu gorge
After breakfast we will have to prepare all our equipment and belongings to immerse them all on the horse and  we will continue our way further. We have to get back to the Zauka pass and after passing it we will reach the Valley Dzhukuu, then we go down the gorge about 20 km and reach the foot of the Ashu Kashka Suu gorge where we set up camp for the night. On the way we meet with real Kyrgyz nomads who live here, on the jailoo (mountain pasture) in summer time, but they spent winter in their houses in the villages that are situated on the shore of the lake Issyk - Kul. You will be pleasantly surprised Kyrgyz nomads hospitality. We will try Kyrgyz cheese there and if you want you can try Kyrgyz national drink (fermented mare's milk). Dinner and overnight is in tents at the altitude of 2770 m.

Day 6: Ashu Kashka Suu gorge - Ashu Tor Pass (3490 m) - Jukuchak gorge (7 hours)
Early in the morning we will have to prepare all of our gear and then we will hike up the gorge Ashu Kashka Suu. Having reached the foot of the pass, we make a short halt for picnic and then we will have to go up to 3490 m. Ashu Tor Pass . After the pass we get into the Dzhukuchak gorge where the balmy mineral springs are. We are again given a chance to take a bath with hot mineral water which we all dreamed of for now 4 days of our trek. After good bath our guide will offer you a local beer but not Kyrgyz beer, this time is real Kyrgyz beer.   Dinner and overnight is in tents.

Day 7: Dzhukuchak gorge - Orto Bulak Pass (2900 m) - Kichi Kyzyl Suu gorge
In the morning we will go towards the Kichi Kyzyl Suu Valley. First we reach in the territory of Issyk Kul forestry that is located in the Dzhukuchak gorge. Further we have to climb to the 2900 m. Orto Bulak Pass. Then we come up to to the Kichi Kyzyl Suu gorge where we break our camp for the night. Dinner and sharing the passed days impressions. This night you will spent in tents at the altitude of 2300 m. This place is famous for its incredible beauty and stunning scenes of the mountains. 

Day 8: Kichi Kyzyl Suu gorge - Chon Kyzyl Suu gorge - Jili Suu water warm springs
A good breakfast. Our trekking will begin towards the picturesque valley - ChonKyzyl Suu. First we have to go down to the Kichi Kyzyl Suu gorge.Our route passes through the forestry territory. Then we will go along the Djily Suu Mountains. Finally, we advance Chon Kyzyl Suu gorge. Here we enter the area of Ak Tash. Then we go up about three miles up to the warm mineral springs where we will again be able to take a warm bath and relax. The region is famous for its beauty. We will meet the nomads, who live among these magnificent mountains. You feel like you are on the top of the world! Overnight is in tents at the altitude of 2150 m.

Day 9: Chon Kyzyl Suu gorge - Kok Dzhayyk Pass (2700 meters) - Jeti Oguz gorge
After breakfast we start in the way of the Jeti Oguz (Seven Bulls Canyon) - one of the most popular places on the territory of the Kyrgyz land. We start with going down to the place of Ak Tash, where we cross (Red River) -  Kyzyl Suu. After that we begin the ascent to the pass Kok  Dzhayyk. The road will pass through a small pine forest, which will impress you with its daed silence. It seems as if the whole world looks at you there. After the forest we will have a look at the Jeti Oguz gorge which will impress you for sure. After a couple of kilometers we reach the yurt camp Kok Dzhayyk where we spend the night at the altitude of 2300 m. This was the final day of trekking.  Dinner and overnight in yurts.

Day 10: Jety Oguz gorge - Karakol (30 km - 1 h)
After breakfast our journey will continue in the direction of the administrative center of the Issik Kul region. Check-in hotel Elita**.  This city tour in Karakol includes: the visit of Prjvalsky Memorial Complex that dedicated to the first Russian explorer of Central Asia; the Holy Trinity Cathedral and the wooden mosque, made in the Chinese style. It will help us to understabd better the life of people of the end 19 century. This evening we will visit Dyishin village. You will have dinner with Chinese Muslims, here they are called Dungans, who have come from Dunhuang, Central China.  Chinese Muslims came to Kyrgyzstan 200 years ago when it was a war between Chinese and not Chinese nationalities and religions. They are good at agriculture and very famous for national cuisine.  We will have an opportunity to try different kinds of salads and of course national Dungan bread. After, we come back to hotel.

Day 11: Karakol - Kochkor village (330 km-6 h)
Early in the morning we move to the Kochkor village, where we will visit workshop that makes traditional felt carpets. We can discover national traditions and customs watch the process of making traditional Kyrgyz carpets and visit a handicraft museum. Also we will see and participate in the process of  yurt erection, a traditional collapsible felt house of nomads. In the evening you will listen to the Folk-concert.  On the way to Kochkor village we will drive along the north shore of Issyk Kul Lake - it means you will see the "pearl of Tien - Shan Mountains" form the different points. Dinner in a yurt and carpet-making show is organized especially for you. Overnight is in a home stay. 

Day 12: Kochkor - Bishkek
Drive to Bishkek. Accommodation in a guesthouse. Free time for shopping or for refreshing walking after trip.

Day 13: Bishkek - EuropeYou will be met by your guide at the hotel and accompanied to Manas International Airport according to your flight details.
