Tajikistan life: Tour 6

Day 1: Dushanbe
Meet our driver at the airport and transfer to Dushanbe. Today you will have a city tour and visit Rudake Park, National library, White House, National state seal, and House of parliament. Then we will walk in National park and see Ministry of Inner Affairs as well as the biggest National Flag in the world of 165 m high pole, 30 m wide, 60 m long. This day on tour will be continued visiting the Central Museum and Gurminj Museum of traditional musical instruments. Don't miss to visit Asian bazar and get inspiration of colorful goods, fruits and vegetables. Night is in a hotel.

Day 2: Dushanbe - Norak - Kalai Khum
Today we will travel to Kalai Khum village and enjoy seeing the Norak water reservoir that is called Tajik Sea. Drive over Shuraba pass of 2 267 m along Afghanistan border. The road will impress you by the great mountains. It is defined to be the Territory of Pamir Mountains. Since past times, the Pamirs have stimulated the world's greatest explorers like Marco Polo, Hsuan Tsang, Mirza Muhammad Haidar. Later on you will travel along natural border as Pyanj River and see the giant mountain system the ocean of white and blue mountains. Overnight is in a hotel.

Day 3: Kalai Khum - Khorog
Today you will drive to a small city as Khorog. This area is enclosed by rocky mountains from all four wings and built on the confluence of the 3 rivers where Shokhdara river and Ghund river flow into Pyanj river. On the cards to Khorog you will meet Pamir people. You will learn more about the Pamir people separately from the Tajik people. Pamirs have a high percentage of people with blonde hair, fair skin and blue eyes. Pamirs Mountains are the highest mountains in the world with human population after the Himalayas in Tibet. Night is in a guesthouse.

Day 4: Khorog
Today you will have a guided city tour. Visit the Botanical Garden fenced by many gardens and lies at an altitude of 2320m above sea level on the seaside zone of the Shakhdara River is located the famous Pamir Botanical Garden with exclusive plants, carried from different parts of the world. We will visit city park and handicraft shop, museum. Don't miss to visit local bazaar where you can the main highlights of Khorog. Overnight is in a guesthouse.

Day 5: Khorog - Langar
This tour will start by travelling along Tajik Afgan border to Langar village. It is located in Asia, the Pamirs are a corner of sky-scraping, snow-capped, grand mountains, see-through clear blue waters of lakes and rivers, extensive valleys and bone-dry deserts. People have called these uppermost mountains of the world as "the Roof of the World". The land of Pamirs is situated at elevations from 3 500 to 4 200 meters above sea level. Pamirs over the years were secluded from each other by blocked mountain ranges, and industrialized into separate reserves with diverse dialects and sometimes dissimilar or different languages. Night is in a home stay.

Day 6: Langar
The tour will start by exploring the Langar village and Wakhi people. You will hike up for around 2 hours above Langar village to see the petroglyphs as well as to see the Hindu Kush range. Later on visit Abreshim Qala (Silk fort) and the memorial of Shoh Qambari Oftob. Rest is in a home stay.

Day 7: Langar - Yashil Kul Lake - Bulunkul Lake - Murgab
Today we will see one of the most gorgeous lakes of the Pamirs are Yashil Kul and Bulunkul (Blue lakes), strained on the altitude of 3 700 meters above sea level, are located in the Murghab district. The color of water in Bulunkul is violet and dark-blue in the sunlight. You can find a lot of fish in the lake. In addition, you will find domestic animals as yaks producing milk, wool and meat. On the way to the lake you will drive over Khargush pass of 4 344 m. Transfer to a guesthouse.

Day 8: Kyzyl Art border
In the morning is transfer to Kyrgyz border. We hope you enjoyed!
